Our Story

When Hudson's younger brother Quinn was rushed to Edward Hospital last year for an emergency appendectomy, the experience was stressful for the entire family. Amid the long hours at the hospital, one place provided comfort and relief: the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
The Kurcz family was deeply grateful for the welcoming space, which offered support and a place to recharge during a difficult time. “The room had lots of activities and toys for younger children,” Hudson recalled. “But there wasn't much for older kids to do.”
That was the beginning of Heart in Hand, which is dedicated to creating and donating fidget toys for children staying in hospitals. Through the use of technology, Heart in Hand leverages 3D printers to create fun fidget devices for tweens and teens.
